CHAIRMAN PCHSPFN FELICITATE WITH REGISTRAR CHPRBN ON REAPPOINTMENT

The Chairman Private Colleges of Health Sciences Proprietors Forum of Nigeria and the Director of the duo colleges ECOHSAT and ECONS Dr. Shuaibu Suleiman congratulate Dr Bashir Idris (Lifidin Jama'a) on his reappointment as the Registrar CEO of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

Private Colleges of Health Sciences Proprietors Forum of Nigeria congratulate the Registrar stating that the reappointment was an unparalleled commitment to excellence in transforming the training and practice of community health in Nigeria.

He continued that the reappointment reflects the government confidence in Dr Bashir Idris ability to continue steering the board administrative functions with excellence while also adapting to the evolving challenges of governance, policy, and regulatory frameworks. We are confident that under the Registrar's leadership the Community Health Practicioners Registration Board of Nigeria will continue to grow and thrive, furthering its mission and objectives with renewed vigor and dedication.

He prayed for Allah's continuous support, wisdom and preserverance in steering the profession to greater heights.

The Chairman also condole with the entire CHPRBN on the loss of a senior colleague and former Zonal Technical Officer Northwest Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Yar'adua who played a pivotal role and contributed immensely to the community health profession during his time. May Allah SWT forgive his shortcomings and grant him the highest rank in paradise.

ECOHSAT CLINCHES TREBLE CHAMPIONSHIP IN AHMED MUSA COMPETITION

In a moment of glory that will go down in history, ECOHSAT became champions of the Ahmed Musa Inter-Higher Institution Tournament for the third time in a row, cementing their status as the most dominant force in the competition's history. The 8th edition triumph, following two previous successful campaigns, is a testament to the relentless determination, skill, and teamwork that has defined the team's exceptional journey.

The final, which was held on Thursday, 21st February 2025, saw ECOHSAT take on PDSL Sport School in what proved to be a thrilling encounter. From the first whistle, the atmosphere was electric, with both teams showing the intensity expected of such a high-stakes match. However, PDSL Sport School led by two goals in the first half of the game, giving ECOHSAT an uphill task to overcome.

A reviving moment came early in the second half when ECOHSAT's shot-stopper scored a magnificent goal. The crowd erupted in celebration, and the team’s confidence soared. Towards the tail end of the match, ECOHSAT equalized through a fantastic goal courtesy of Ibrahim Muhammed.

As the final whistle blew, confirming a 2-2 stalemate, the match went straight into penalty kicks, with each team presenting three players for the shootout. The penalties ended in thrilling fashion, with ECOHSAT emerging as champions.

Prior to the final, ECOHSAT thumped Maryam Abacha University Nigeria 18-0 and Capital City University 8-0. In the semi-final, they defeated Northbridge College 7-3, cruising through the competition with an unbeaten streak.

This victory is not just about the three-peat but about the legacy that ECOHSAT has built. The team’s success is founded on tactical discipline and a never-give-up attitude. The sports committee, coaches, and players alike have embraced the philosophy of continual improvement, which has been key to their sustained dominance.

The sports chairman, Abdulkabir Suleiman, in a post-match interview, praised the collective effort of the squad, stating, "This is a victory that belongs to every player, the sports committee, and the entire College. We have worked incredibly hard, and this is the culmination of years of dedication. To win three consecutive titles is a remarkable achievement, and I am proud of each and every one of these players. Big thanks to the management for their support, motivation, and encouragement all the way."

For now, the celebrations are in full swing as the team and their supporters bask in the glow of an extraordinary, record-breaking achievement.
